Notice the red glass door as it the only outside indication the you have found the club. The cocktails were great and the atmosphere was delightful. I think we missed the study group and after our first round I had already planned my escape route in case the authorities raided the place. I was all in to the experience. Fun.
One of my favorite speakeasy in SE Portland. Solid drinks, tasty bites, great old school vibes, and super friendly staff.
Street parking. Sometimes it’s tough to grab a table, but always worth the wait.
Sit back, praise the lord, and enjoy the time with those around you.
I will say one of the absolute coolest establishments I've been to recently! From the prohibition decor to the name of the drinks and food on the menu. What an awesome time and experience. Was a perfect ending to my birthday weekend festivities. I will say the PB & P (which stands for prayer btw) was one of the best cocktails I could have ordered. Also the passion fruit mousse cake was very nice and subtle. Not overly sweet which i throughly enjoyed. Well done. Will certainly be back.
This review is for the outdoor space, but I cannot find a separate listing.
I really enjoyed this venue. The live music was excellent, and I've heard that the artists are always quite good.
The drinks were fun- I tried a twist on a Moscow mule, and the Portland Fog. I tried the second one hot and it was perfect. Very lavender flavoured though - beware of you're not a big fan.
The food was also really good. We did the baked brie, charcuterie board and meatball dish. It was good, though we ordered too much for two.
Staff was friendly and the line moved quick.
Cute spot. We didn't sit inside because it was busy but the patio seating event in November was warm and cozy. Solid cocktails. The Portland Fog was good, the Magnolia was even better!
Such a cool hideaway. Speakeasy with great drinks and very good appetizers. Check it out.
This place was a really cool experience but I would skip on the food. The location and museum in a house set up was really cool! Staff was super helpful, nice, and quick. We got the la vien rose drink which is great but strong! The pretzels and fig croquettes under delivered on flavor but the presentation was neat. I would definitely come back here for the experience.
This is supposed to be one of the best speakeasy in PDX area. The bar had cool church vibe and seating. It is a snug place with very limited seating making it all the more intriguing. However, I wished they at least made it breathable. The air inside the small room seemed very damp and dull and not of good quality. A little air purifier after hours or more ventilation would be great.
We decided to not have second round of drinks due to this feeling of being caught in the tight space breathing wise. The cleanliness was an issue for me too.
Coming to drinks, the old fashioned was great with nice presentation. The gin cocktail was poorly presented and tasted average. No wow factor! Ordered bruschetta and it was okay. They should think of adding more new finger food instead of the same old hummus platter, olives, etc.
